Group Tent Camping Area

A Group Tent Camping Area is available at Beech Fork State Park. This area is well suited for large groups to enjoy tent camping in a beautiful private lakeside setting. The site is close to the swimming pool, a 1 mile paved fitness trail, and plenty of grass area for large group activities. A covered shelter complete with picnic tables, potable water, and a grill/fire pit is provided. Electric is not available. The day use bathroom is available for use as is the Old Orchard campground bathhouse. This area is available by advanced reservation and same day if not previously reserved.

Rates

$150.00 per night (tax is included in rate) for up to 10 tents.
$200.00 per night for 11-15 tents.
$250.00 per night for 16-20 tents.

A maximum of 20 tents can be accommodated.

Advance reservations require an additional $5.00 handling fee.

The rate does not include firewood. (Firewood and ice can be purchased at the adjacent Camp Store located in the Park Headquarters building)

Check-in time is 1:00pm on arrival date and check-out is noon on departure date.

Registration

All camper groups must register and pay rental fee at the Park Headquarters or at the Control Station located at the main park entrance prior to occupying the group camping site.

Reservations can be made one year in advance on the first day of the corresponding month by phone or in person at the Park Headquarters. Advance reservations require payment in full of the handling fee and all camping fees.

Cancellation Policy

If a reservation is cancelled, the $5 handling fee plus the first nights camping fee will be forfeited. The remaining balance will be refunded provided you notify Beech Fork State Park more than 7 days prior to the reservation arrival date. Reservations cancelled within 7 days of the reservation arrival date will not be refunded.

Directions

The Group Camping area is located at Picnic Shelter #4 adjacent to the fitness trail tunnel behind the Park Headquarters building. Parking is available at the rear of the park headquarters building and in the day use gravel lot near the swimming pool. Please note that there is no direct vehicle access to the group campsite. All camping equipment and supplies must be carried between the parking lot and the group campsite (a distance of approximately 500 feet).

CAMPSITE RULES

Beer and All Alcoholic Beverages are prohibited within the boundary of Beech Fork State Park.
Group Campers must park all motorized vehicles in the designated parking lot outside of the
gated tent area.

No more than 20 tents can be placed in the group camping area. Keep all tents in designated
open area.

One responsible person who has passed their 18th birthday who is answerable for the actions
and safety of the group camping occupants and liable for any damages caused by them shall be
at the campsite while being occupied.

The length of stay in any camping area shall not exceed a 14 consecutive nights. In no case may
occupancy of a campsite be extended by the camping group registering under a different name.
Campsites shall be vacated by noon on the day the reservation expires.

Pets must be restrained on a sturdy leash not to exceed 10 feet in length. While in the park the
owner shall clean up after the pet, keep it from disturbing others and be responsible for any
damage that may occur.

Motor Vehicles are prohibited in the group camping area and shall be parked in the lot located
behind the Park Headquarters building or in the gravel lot located in the day use area adjacent
to the swimming pool. Please note that the gates to the gravel day use area lot are locked
closed and are unattended each night between 10pm and 8am.

Camping trailers are not permitted in the group camping area. (Tent camping only)

No object may be driven into any tree, shrub, rock, sign, building or other object or structure in
a state campground. Trenching or digging in a campsite is prohibited. No cutting of any trees
for firewood is allowed.

Hay, straw, pine needles or other similar materials shall not be kept or used in tents or
screened rooms or under shelters for bedding or any other purpose.

CAMPFIRE RULES

Please burn only firewood in the shelter fire pit, no trash please. No cutting of trees or gathering
of wood is allowed, please use only wood that is purchased at the park or brought with you.
Fires are allowed in the designated fire pit only.
